Jeanne Ann Blausey

Jeanne Ann Blausey, 75, of Oak Harbor, died Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born December 7, 1939, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Charles and Marie (Buck) Swathwood. On January 11, 1958, she married Arthur H. Blausey, Sr. and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2008. Jeanne was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Moose Lodge, and the Eagles. She was elected Mayor of Oak Harbor in 1986. Jeanne was an avid bowler for over 40 years at the Oak Harbor Bowling Alley and also enjoyed working part time at the lanes. Jeanne was known for her everlasting smile and infectious laugh. Fun would follow her everywhere. She is survived by her sons, Arthur Blausey, Jr. (Jody) of Oak Harbor and James Blausey, Sr. of Phoenix, AZ, daughter, Terri (Jan Rusincovitch) Blausey of Campbellsville, KY, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers: Charles, Jr. and Dennis Swathwood. A graveside service will be held in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January, 10, 2015. A celebration of life will be held immediately following the committal services at the American Legion Post 114, 221 Park St., Oak Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorials for Jeanne may be given to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449.
