Jeanette J. Snider, 88, of Genoa, OH, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Garden of St. Francis in Oregon, OH. She was born on June 13, 1937, in Clay Center, OH, to Julius and Francis (Zunk) Troknya. On July 28, 1956, she married Paul H. Snider in Genoa, and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2019.
Jeanette devoted her life to her family as a homemaker and was known for her gentle spirit and kind heart. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was always ready to share a warm cup of coffee at the kitchen table with family and friends, offering a listening ear and heartfelt advice. Her presence was a comforting constant, and her family will deeply miss the phone calls, the conversations, and the steady support she always provided.
A faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Genoa, Jeanette was actively involved in helping with church meals and events—often contributing her famous homemade pies. She enjoyed playing games with her family, bird watching, tending to her flowers, and caring for her yard.
Jeanette is survived by her children, Mark (Mary Ann) Snider, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Snider, Tina (Doug) Venis, and Tom (Jada) Snider; 9 grandchildren, Paulene (Ken) Steinberger, Justin (Alisha) Snider, Courtney (Marc) Nye, Jeff (Veronica) Snider, Ashley (Mike) Klein, Thomas (Rachel Swope) Mann, Jr., Christine Mann, Scott Snider, and TJ Snider; 12 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Edward (Kathy) Troknya. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; brother, Robert Troknya; and sister, Nancy Piotrowski.
A gathering for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 2-8 p.m. at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH. Graveside services will take place at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2025, at Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa.
