Jeanette Fay Medford

November 7, 1933 — February 19, 2016

Jeanette “Fay” Szeve-Medford, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones Friday, February 19, 2016. Born November 7, 1933 in Toledo to the late Heinz and Katherine (Eppard) Szeve, she graduated from Libbey High School where she was a majorette. Faye later worked as an executive secretary at Owens Corning. She married her beloved husband Bernard Medford Jr., and together they raised five children. Bernard preceded her in death in 1983. Fay was an intelligent and quick-witted woman who loved to play cards and travel. She loved every shade of purple, and enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee with her daughters. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Fay is survived by her brother, Ronald (Pam) Szeve; sons, Dan (Lisa), Doug (Nonoy), Tim; daughters, Carol and Paula (Brandon) Ison; grandchildren, Kori Redman, Jessica (Phil) Myers, Jennifer and Amanda Ison, Sarah, Jillian, Justin, Raoul, and Ian Medford; and her loving friend Sally. Friends may call Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.), where services will be held at 7:00 p.m. The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio where friends are invited to send donations in lieu of flowers.
