Jeanette Rusty Hurst

Jeanette Rusty Hurst, age 77, of Toledo, Ohio passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 27, 2016. Rusty was born to Ralph and Lucille (Wyneland) Coon in Toledo, Ohio on January 1, 1939 and was the first baby born of the year. Employed by the City of Toledo for 31 years, Rusty began as a receptionist and worked her way up to sign inspector, retiring in 1995. Her past times included day trips to the casinos, bingo, bird watching, playing with her dogs, board games and spending time with her grandchildren. Rusty always looked forward to her numerous trips to Las Vegas. Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 49 years, Robert. He referred to Rusty as his loving bride. Also surviving are daughters, Diane Miscannon, Brenda Rollins and Kim (Dave) Mitchell; grandchildren, Lauren (Brady) Campbell, Jared (Beth) Rollins and Kristi (Drew) Grogan; and brother, Bob Coon. Rusty was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Miscannon and sister, Naomi Sterling. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery.
