CHERRY JEANETTE KATIE KRANTZ Jeanette Katie Krantz Cherry age 92 of Coldwater, Michigan formerly of Toledo passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the Community Health Center, Coldwater Michigan. She was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Ignatius and Cecelia Krantz. A veteran of WWII, WAC she served in the Pacific where she received the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon with 1 bronze star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, and American Theatre and Victory Ribbons. She was employed by various wholesale drug companies including Walding Kennan and Marvin, National Wholesale in Detroit, MI and Prescription Supply. She was a member of the Eleanor Kahle Senior Center and a Past Commander of American Legion Post #132 and VFW Post #5536. The last several years she lived in Coldwater, Michigan with the Bates family as her caregivers arranged by the Battle Creek Veterans Administration. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Evelyn Krantz; and brother Arthur Krantz. Jeanette is survived by daughter Debra JP Stewart; son Ron Cherry, Jr.; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation and services will be private.
