Jeanette “Jan” was a lifelong resident of Toledo, and was the daughter of John and Dorothy (Selz) Brancheau. She was a graduate of St. Louis School (1949), Central Catholic High School (1953), Mercy School of Nursing (1956) and University of Toledo, College of Business (1984). As a Registered Nurse at Toledo Hospital for almost 40 years, Jan worked mainly in Orthopedics and Outpatient Oncology. Later in her career, she worked with the Toledo Community Oncology Program (TCOP), where she coordinated multiple National Breast Cancer Prevention trials for BCPT and STAR, finally retiring in 1997. She was also past President and member of the Toledo Area Oncology Nursing Society. She was an avid reader, and greatly enjoyed book club with her friends. She also enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, the casino, and having margaritas with her good friends at Ventura’s. She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt, Sister Mary Lewellin, SND; and brother, John Brancheau. Jan is survived by her children, Christopher Ceglio, Anthony Ceglio (Lezlie), Patricia Ceglio (Tom Peterson) and Anne Schaeffer (George); grandchildren, Sarah (Marcus), Emily, Katherine, George Henry IV, Nicholas, and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Hendrix and Hattie; sisters, Mary Lowry and Joann Justen; brother, William Brancheau; sister-in-law, Judy Brancheau; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
