Jean Marie Yingling

Jean Marie Crawford Yingling, age 88 of Toledo, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg after a brief illness. She was born on June 27, 1927 in Toledo, OH to Gale Leonard and Naida Harriet (Knipp) Crawford. On October 18, 1947 she married Richard C. Yingling at St. Agnes Church in Toledo, Ohio. Jean was only separated from her dear husband by World War II and his death in 2005. Her family takes comfort that Jean stands by Richard’s side in the presence of our Lord. “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8 Jean is survived by her beloved sister Maryann Crawford Hinger, her Aunts Ruth Ann Crawford Donnelly, Lois Knipp Stites and sister-in-law Alice Waldo Crawford. Jean is preceded in death by her brother Norman J. Crawford. She leaves not to mourn but to cherish her memory, her devoted sons, Richard, Tim (Janet) and Jay (Suzanne) Yingling; treasured grandchildren, Zachary and Joseph Yingling and Jamie Bishop (Scott), Catherine Montgomery and Julia Yingling and other close relatives and her many friends at the Swan Creek Retirement Village, Maumee. Jean was a lifelong parishioner at St. Agnes Church in Toledo. She always counted her family as her most important accomplishment and devoted considerable time to them. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Jean during her last few weeks. Donations may be made to the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg as expressions of sympathy in Jean’s memory.
