Jean Trosin

Jean Trosin, age 88 of Sylvania, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the Lakes of Sylvania. She was born August 12, 1929 in Monroe, Michigan to Emil and Loretta (Hoffman) Navarre. Her life revolved around her family as she enjoyed cooking and baking for them. She was an avid reader and gardener and had a special talent for creating her own greeting cards. She also enjoyed playing golf. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Howard, who died May 15; her sister Armella Venier; and grandson Brett Mominee. She is survived by son Stephen (Denise) Trosin; daughters Jill Trosin and Christine (Dave) Courtney; grandchildren Ryan (Samantha) Courtney, Matthew (Julie) Hoff, Chad (Lauren) Trosin, Megan (Ryan) Angus, Tricia (Paul) Duran, Lindsay Trosin, Callie Trosin and Kara Mominee; and 18 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. The funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 am in St. Josephs Catholic Church, Sylvania. Interment will be private.
