Jean E. Stein

Jean Elizabeth (Wyant) Stein, has gone to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, April 18, 2025 after six months of declining health.

Jean was the second child of her parents, Earl and Bertha Wyant of Kansas, Ohio and the last survivor of three brothers and one sister.

She grew up on the farm, graduating from Jackson-Burgoon High School in 1948 and Toledo Flower Hospital Nursing School in 1951.

She became the adorable and faithful wife to Richard Lee Stein of Helena, Ohio in a candle lite wedding in Fremont, Ohio on April 18, 1953.

The devoted and loving mother of five children; Richard Allen (Kentucky), Terrance (Toledo), Jerry (Utah), Cheryl Ann Taylor (Perrysburg) and Linda Kay Romstadt (Oregon); grandmother of eleven; Jeremy Stein (Kentucky), Andrea Stein (Indonesia), Shelly Hintz (Oregon), Daniel Stein (Perrysburg, Township), Dean Stein (Utah), Kristian Taylor (Toledo), Erin Kleinshmidt (Florida), Jullian Lehman (Perrysburg), Tara Romstadt (Curtice), Dana Justin (Toledo), and Kyle Romstadt (Millbury), and eighteen adorable great-grandchildren.

She had always been faithful having her family in church every Sunday. A faith member of her church serving the Lord in the baby nursery and teaching children.

Jean retried in 1994 after thirty years at St. Charles Hospital, moving to Winter Haven, FL. for 32 years, returning to Toledo in 2021.

She passed away on their wedding anniversary of 72 years, April 18, 2025. Jean will be noticeably missed.
