Jean M. (Link) Rohlen, 68, of Perrysburg, Ohio died unexpectedly Monday, September 5, 2016. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 7, 1948 to Leonard P. and Lucille L. (Hillier) Link. Jean graduated from Euclid High School in 1966, and continued her education at Bowling Green State University receiving her Bachelors in Education. Jean taught for several years at Monroe Public Schools before moving to Walbridge, Ohio. For many years, Jean worked at the Golden House restaurant in Perrysburg. She enjoyed getting to know her regular customers, many of them becoming friends. Jean enjoyed going to the movies, gardening, and reading. She could frequently be found shopping in the aisles at Meijer. Jean was a proud Cleveland sports fan. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends, and her cat Callie, who will miss her dearly. Jean is survived by her son, David P. (Angie) Rohlen of Medina, OH.; daughter, Nancy Rohlen of Chicago, IL.; grandsons, Andrew and Lance Rohlen; nephew, Michael Meacham; niece, Beth (Jay) Rose; and best friends, Judy and Mark Zink. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy L. Meacham. Friends will be received at Witzler Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM with a memorial service to begin at 7:00 PM. Burial will be private at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society of Wood County, 801 Van Camp Road, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
