Jean L Micham

JEAN MICHAM Jean L. Micham, age 81, of Round Hill, Virginia and formerly of Toledo, Ohio died Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Heritage Hall in Front Royal, Virginia. She was born in Weston, Ohio on September 30, 1935 to Orval and Cleo (Moore) Markley. On September 8, 1956 she married Robert Louis Micham who preceded her in death on August 15, 2001. Jean attended the University of Toledo where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She was an Elementary school teacher for Toledo Public schools having worked at Glann Elementary, Longfellow Elementary, DeVeaux Junior High School, Elmhurst Elementary, Old Orchard Elementary, Hawkins Elementary, and Grove Patterson Elementary schools. Jean was a devoted wife and Christian. She was formerly a member of Boulevard Church of Christ in Sylvania, Ohio and also River Run Christian Church in Melbourne, Florida. She enjoyed reading, traveling, crafts, decorating and time on the beach, but she will be best remembered for her love of her grandchildren. Jean will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Orval and Cleo, husband, Robert as well as her sister, Joanne Piatt. She is survived by her children, Vicki (Jeff) Hatch, Michele Micham and Tamara (Brent) Meyer; 7 grandchildren; 4 Great grandchildren as well as her sister Mary Lou Trowbridge. Friends will be received on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 2-9 P.M. at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio where a Celebration of Jean's life will begin on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 10:00 A.M.
