Jean Claire Heider

Jean Claire (Hayes) Heider, age 96, passed away Monday February 8, 2016 at Elizabeth Scott Community. The daughter of Karl and Mildred (Revell) Hayes, she was born November 17, 1919 in Toledo. She was a 1936 graduate of Scott High School and attended the University of Toledo. She married Robert Heider on August 17, 1946 and enjoyed 53 years of marriage. She loved to read and sew and was a lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers. Her true joy in life was caring for her family. Jean is survived by her son, Roger (Christine) Heider; daughter, Gretchen (Dwaine) Nemire; daughter in law, Cheryl Heider; grandchildren, Brice Nemire, Mark (Rachel) Nemire, Jesse Heider(fiance David Ayling), Daniel (Michelle) Heider, Michael (Anna) Heider; great grandchildren, Harper Jean Nemire, Henry and Hanna Heider, and Conor Heider. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, James; sisters Patricia Harshman and Nancy Wilkolek. Friends may visit the family on Saturday February 13, 2016 from 9:30-10:30AM at Christ the King Catholic Church 4100 Harvest Lane Toledo, OH 43623 where a funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM followed by interment at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
