Jean Mae Hablitzel, 93, of Perrysburg, OH died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Millbury, OH on December 6, 1923 to Elwood and Pearl (Mapes) Lutman. Jean was married on June 23, 1945 in Millbury to Charles P. Hablitzel, Sr. who preceded her in death on October 7, 2003. Jean was an artist, homemaker, den mother, a teacher with the Adult Literacy Program, and a member of the Lake Township Homemakers. She loved taking art classes with her brother, Robert, and was a former President of the Oregon Art Club. She was especially fond of her dog, Victor. She is survived by sons, Charles P. (Linda) Hablitzel, Jr. of Perrysburg and William E. Hablitzel, M.D., of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Christine M. (Branden) May and Lauren Ann (Nick) Lake; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Autumn Brosnan, Malachi, Zarren, and Reislynn May, James, Isaiah, Michaela and Dakota Lake. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Darrell, and Vaughn. Services will be private.
