Jean (daughter of Stanley and Julia Musial, born January 2, 1925) grew up in Toledo and graduated from Waite High School in 1943. She began her career in office work, then married her high school sweetheart, Albert Mesteller. They built a home in Oregon and raised a son, Robert and daughter, Debra. After many years of widowhood and retirement, she married Louis Galambos and lived part of the year in their Florida home. She has three grandchildren who now live in Columbus, London, and Cincinnati, and Grandma Jean enjoyed spending time with them as they grew up. Knitting was always a hobby of Jean’s. She made sweaters, hats, scarves and throws for family, and Christening blankets for future great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed putting together and framing puzzles, playing bingo, and card games, such as Pinochle and Canasta. She traveled extensively with her family and friends, but home was still her favorite place to be. Jean is survived by daughter Debra (James) Brown, son Robert (Diane) Mesteller and grandchildren Daniel Brown, Mary (Jereme) McKaskill, and Michael Mesteller. Visitation will take place at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 12:00 pm until the start of the service at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
