Jean (Dodge) Fatiga,92, of Lakeside-Marblehead, OH, passed away, Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Edgewood Manor Care Center, Port Clinton, OH, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born on June 05, 1922 in Middle Bass Island, the daughter of Harold and Ruth (Girardin) Dodge. She was married to Joseph Fatiga on June 12, 1939 in Independence, KY and he preceded her in death on August 14, 1994. They were the owner’s of Fatiga Brothers Grocery Store in Lakeside, OH for 30 plus years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Danbury. Jean enjoyed gardening and playing cards with a group of friends. She loved to read and was very active with her grandchildren. Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving family members include: Daughters: Ruth Ann Boling and Darlene Fatiga; Grandchildren: Jeff Welch, Jackie McClain, Keri Stucky, Kelly Huffman, Kim Stucky, Micah Boss, Hannah Boss and Josiah Boss; 5 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter: Gloria (Fatiga) Black and sister: Naomi Swisher. Graveside service will be held June 05, 2015 at 11:00am in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Jean may be given to Susan G. Komen Foundation or Safe Harbor Animal Shelter. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH has assisted the family with arrangements.
