Jean E. Coy

Jean E. (Ray) Coy, 81, of Perrysburg, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016. She was born in Minden, Louisiana on August 30, 1935 to Rosalyn (Rich) Ray. On August 30 1971, Jean married Charles C. Coy, who preceded her in death in 1997. Jean worked as a bank teller for many years at Mid Am Bank. In her free time she enjoyed reading, history, knitting and cooking for her family. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. She is survived by her sons, Gary Blattner, Glenn (Gerri) Blattner; daughters, Penny (Noah) Horan, Tina Thornton; grandchildren, Emily Brogan, and Ben Thornton, Noah J. Horan, Alison Blattner, Ilana Blattner, Jared Blattner, Melody Blattner and Erica Wyant; four great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Ray; and sister, Patsy Ray. In addition to her husband, Charles, Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Rosalyn; and daughter, Amy Blattner-Coy. Friends will be received on Saturday, October 8, 2016 beginning at 1:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133), where a Memorial Service will take place at 3:00 P.M. Burial will be private.
