Jean Ciacelli

Aug 30, 1928 — Sep 13, 2026

Our beloved Mother, Jean Ciacelli, was called home to be with the Lord and her family in heaven on September 13, 2026 at the age of 98. Jean was born on August 30th, 1928, to Georgio and Maria Francis (Panno) Adduci.

Perhaps you remember her from Catawba Market or Walmart Snack Bar or as a Walmart Door Greeter. She was the matriarch of the family and was so proud to raise 5 children. Jean also grew a loving extended famiglia with her neighbors, colleagues, and community members. She made everyone feel special, seen, and loved.

Jean loved gathering everyone for holidays, birthdays, and spaghetti dinners on Sundays. She enjoyed sitting on her porch and watching the world go by and appreciating all of God's creatures, including hummingbirds, butterflies, finches and flowers. She also loved any kind of bread, especially toast with butter, cinnamon, and sugar. Jean loved good conversations and truly connecting with people; be it her brothers, kids, grandchildren, neighbors or friends.

Jean will be remembered as a selfless and humble ray of sunshine; a force of nature with her strength and bullheaded determination. There was no mountain she wouldn't climb for her family. We will miss her warm presence, the joy of her greetings, her laugh and the special twinkle in her eye . She is someone who loved fully and with a pure heart. We will miss her cooking, her prayers, and her sneaking treats to her grandkids and pets.

Jean is survived by children, Kathleen (Larry) Cleveland, Antoinette "Toni" (Tom) Letterhos, Anthony (Laurie) Ciacelli and Maria Ciacelli; grandchildren, Bobby (Ericka) Hodge, Tara (Jake) Aldrich, Lisa Maria Heineman, Anthony (Jen) Ciacelli, Nick (Morgan) Ciacelli, Gina (Justin) Nemecek, Jeffrey Ohm and Jacob Ohm; great-grandchildren, Danielle Hodge, Oliver & Owen Aldrich, Anthony, Adelynn and Ayven Ciacelli, Jemma Ciacelli and Jack & John Nemecek. Along with many more special family members that she held dear.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Tony" Ciacelli; her daughter, Evelyn (Heineman) Ciacelli; her brothers, Vincent James, Allessandro "Alex" and Justin Adduci; and her parents.

Contributions in Jean's honor may be made to Island Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary or Ida Rupp Public Library.

Jean's services will be private.
