Jayne Zanith Wilson

Jayne Zanith Wilson, 76, of Williston, Ohio, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the Luther Home of Mercy, where she had lived for the last 19 years. Jayne was born in Christiansburg, Virginia, on August 6, 1938, to Robert H. and Hazel (Thacker) Wilson. Her early years were spent in Virginia before moving with her parents to South America, where she lived in Bolivia, Brazil, and Venezuela. In 1975 Ms. Wilson moved to Sylvania, Ohio, when her parents retired there. She came to live at the Luther Home in 1996, where she enjoyed the relationships she formed with the other residents and staff. During her years in Ohio, she was a dedicated employee at Lott Industries in Toledo and the last eighteen years at Riverview Industries in Oak Harbor. Ms. Wilson made friends with all the people she met. She loved her time spent at both Lott Industries and Riverview Industries. She enjoyed her family and friends, singing-especially at church services-fishing, watching sports, and going out to eat. She had a special fondness for cats and greatly enjoyed her collection of stuffed animals. Survivors include her sister and her husband, Anne and Jerome Sandvig of Tucson, Arizona, along with nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her in death. A memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 10, 2015, in the Chapel of the Luther Home of Mercy, 5810 N. Main St., Williston. Jayne will be laid to rest with her family at the West View Cemetery, Radford, VA, on a later date. Her family suggests that contributions in Jaynes memory be directed to the Luther Home of Mercy, P.O. Box 187, Williston, OH 43468. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH 43430, has assisted the family with arrangements.
