Jay A. Zeunen, Sr. 52, of Gibsonburg, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 01, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Toledo on October 9, 1959, to George A. and Mary M. (Scott) Zeunen. Jay was a 1977 graduate of Bedford High School and served our country in the United States Army. For over 25 years, Jay was a truck driver for the U.S. Post Office and in his spare time enjoyed camping especially at Eagle Lake Camping Resort in Gibsonburg. He was an avid book reader, a NASCAR fan and Detroit Red Wing Hockey fan. He is survived by his loving wife, Debra A. (Schultz) Zeunen whom he married on October 24, 1987 in Swanton, Ohio; children, Jay Zeunen, Jr., Carla Zeunen-Torres, Davy “Chip” Black and Jennifer Eddinger; ten grandchildren; siblings, Jackie Omlor, Peggy Wingate-Carlisle, Katie Zuback, Bill Zeunen, Shelia Yeager, Scott (Margie) Dennis, George G. (Kitty) Zeunen and Pamela (Paul) Friedlander; fathers-in-law and mothers-in-law, Ronald and Kathy Schultz and Jerry and Carol Dutridge; brothers-in-law, Robert (Pam) Schultz, Jeffrey (Bonnie) Schultz and Douglas Schultz along with many dear nieces and nephews. Friends will be receive d from 3-8:30 P.M. on Friday in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 with Pastor Samuel Suman officiating. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
