Jay Libertino

Jay Libertino, 52, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away suddenly at his home. Jay graduated from Genoa High School and the University of Toledo and taught for Toledo Public Schools for many years. His most recent position was at the Toledo Technology Academy. Jay was an avid golfer and taught many the game. His other passions were traveling, cooking and music. Surviving are his mother, Louella Laughery Libertino; sisters, Jamie Imlay, Coral Long, Lisa (Robert) Wegman; nephew, Andrew Long; nieces, Shaina Dunn and Christina (Justin) Watts, and great nephew, Logan James Watts. Jay was preceded in death by his father, James Libertino, and his dog, Duke. A celebration of his life will be held at the Chippewa Golf Club, Curtice, Ohio, in the Chippewa Room on Sunday, August 13, 2017, from 2-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for a memorial bench to be placed at the golf course.
