Janice Palencsar, 61, of Toledo, passed away peacefully at Genacross of Toledo on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Janice was born in Toledo on May 27, 1959 to the late Joseph and Gertrude Palencsar. She graduated from Woodward High School and worked as a receptionist for IBM in her early years, while residing in Oregon. She will be remembered for many things, but primarily for the enjoyment she found in collecting baseball cards, playing English Darts, euchre, and traveling to Las Vegas with her mom, when she was able. But, most of all, she will be remembered for the love and care she showed to her close family and friends. Left to cherish the memory of this thoughtful and generous woman are her siblings, Patti Rutherford (Charles) and Joseph Palencsar, Jr.; her nephew, Charles Rutherford (Valerie); her nieces, Jamie “Donut” Carroll (Larry), Kaitlyn “Tulip” Palencsar, and Madison “Shroon” Palencsar; her great-nephew, Logan “Noodle” Carroll; her great-niece, Charli “Monkey” Carroll; and her faithful, life-long friend, Sue Stieff. Janice is preceeded in death by her parents, Joseph and Gertrude Palencsar, and her brother, Thomas “Jack” Palencsar. At Janice’s request, funeral services will be private.
