Janet Wilson

Janet Rachel Wilson, 87, of Perrysburg, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 2, 2023 at StoryPoint Senior Living in Waterville. Janet was born February 17, 1936 to Harold and Katherine (Van Rensselaer)Meyers. She married Hugh Wilson on June 9, 1956 and they shared 35 years together until he passed on September 30, 1991.

Janet worked as a secretary for Berkshire Middle School and Groves High School in Birmingham, MI. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. Janet will be remembered for her daredevil personality and the love she showed her friends and family.

She is survived by her children; Kimberly (Thomas) Wray, Lawrence (Isabel) Wilson and Hugh Wilson, Jr.; grandchildren, Thomas, Kyle, Tory and Alexandra; great-grandchildren, Adam, Brynnley, Elliott and Charlotte; sisters, Joan Gilbert and Gwen Ann Smetzer and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Hugh, she was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Jennifer Wilson and brothers-in-law, Richard Gilbert and Gerald Smetzer.

Friends and family will be received Friday, December 8, 2023 from 10-11 a.m. at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee (419-893-7686) where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
