Janet Willoughby

Janet Willoughby passed away in the early morning hours of October 16, 2022, surrounded by her family. Janet had been residing in Dayton Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard N. and her son Stephen H Willoughby. Janet had been a resident of Oak Harbor for the past 57 years and was an active member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.

Janet lived a very full life, having moved across the country from Indiana to Washington state, to coastal Georgia, back to several communities in NW Ohio before the family settled in Oak Harbor. She worked for several local businesses over the years and did some volunteer work at Riverview Nursing Home.

Janet is survived by a son Rex Willoughby Sr of Miamisburg, Ohio and a daughter Mara Willoughby Harris of Gallatin, Tennessee, ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

The family is holding a Celebration of Life on October 29th, 2022 from 11 am to 1 pm at St. Paul’s UCC in Oak Harbor. Interment will be the following week in Union Cemetery Oak Harbor Ohio.

The family asks that any tributes for Janet be made in her honor to Riverview Nursing Home Auxiliary, any Dementia Hospice service of your choosing or St Paul's UCC.
