STREICHER Janet C. The family of Janet C. Streicher, Jupiter, Florida, was blessed with her love and joy of life for 83 years. Born in Toledo, Ohio, on May 3, 1924, Janet was christened Janet Belle Cauffiel. She attended Devilbiss High School in Toledo and graduated from Michigan State University in 1946. She, and the love of her life, Henry P. Streicher Jr., married in 1947 and enjoyed 45 years of happiness. Janet loved life and lived it fully. She loved the game of golf and was an intense competitor as her family, friends, and foes would attest. A 50 year member of the Inverness Club in Toledo, she volunteered at all pro tournaments including the PGA and the U.S. Open. She was also the winner of the Womens Derby in 1962, 1967, and 1974. She was also a member of the Jonathans Landings Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida. A mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Janet was constantly surrounded by family and friends. She also made time for several charities in both Toledo and Jupiter among them Reach for Recovery, JL Cares, Jupiter Medical Center, and the American Red Cross. An accomplished needle pointer, she was a life long member of the Stitchery Club. Janet was reunited with her husband, Henry; her parents, George Longworth and Hildreth Miley, and Ford Cauffiel natural father on October 14, 2007. She is survived by her three children, Suzanne Duke Mitchell, Peter Bonnie Streicher III, and John Mimi Streicher; eight grandchildren, Christopher Sandra Mitchell, Amy Mitchell, Kate Mitchell, Tim Mitchell, Stephen Streicher, Sarah Streicher, Nicole Streicher, Hank Streicher IV and one great-grandson, Skyler Streicher. Beloved by her family, she will be missed eternally. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 16 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey between the hours of 4 and 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin with Prayers at the funeral home Wednesday, October 17 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at Gesu Church Parkside Blvd. at 10 a.m. The family requests that donations be sent to: Evans Scholars Foundation, 1 Briar Road, Golf, IL 60029 or St. Francis DeSales High School Scholarship Fund, W.
