Janet M. Stefanelli, age 93, left her earthly place to be with the Lord on July 9, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 19, 1931, in Tiffin, Ohio, Janet was the beloved daughter of George A. and Martha M. (Reimer) Robenalt. She was a graduate of Calvert High School in Tiffin and went on to live a life filled with faith, creativity, service, and deep devotion to family.
On January 16, 1954, Janet married the love of her life, Joseph Stefanelli. Their decades-long journey together was filled with love and many traveling adventures. An amazing mother and homemaker, Janet’s life also reflected her strong work ethic and heart for service. She was deeply rooted in her Catholic faith, attending St. Rose for many years, and later becoming a part of the All Saints Catholic Church and St. John XXIII communities. She and Joe enjoyed volunteering together, whether tending to the church flower gardens or helping with parish festivals. Janet found fulfillment through her volunteer work and every act of kindness she offered throughout her life. Her warmth and friendliness made everyone feel like family and she truly never met a stranger.
A gifted and artistic soul, Janet found joy in sewing, embroidery, flower pressing, and many other crafting projects. Her creativity blossomed in every part of her life, which reflected her nurturing spirit. She loved music and had a beautiful singing voice. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, creativity and compassion that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Janet is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph Stefanelli; her children, Judy (Bob) Baldwin of Fostoria, John (Barbara) Stefanelli of Howell, MI, James (Allan) Stefanelli of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Jeff (Dawn) Stefanelli of Gladwin, MI, Janis (Philip) Kokinakes of Rossford, and Joseph M. (Debra) Stefanelli of Montpelier; grandchildren, Kathryn (Andrew) Baldwin, Samuel Baldwin, Philip (Shauna) Stefanelli, Benjamin Renz, Angela (Brian) Johnson, Anthony (Joanna) Stefanelli, Brandi (Justin ) Allday, Rachel (Jason) McIntosh, Joshua (Ashley) Wainwright, Jacob (Sara) Wainwright, Gabrielle Stefanelli , and Olivia Stefanelli; and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, James (Janet) Robenalt, Elizabeth Wukusick, Martha (Edward)
Sweeney, and Paul (Edna) Robenalt. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Mary Joan, Lois, and Father Philip.
Visitation will take place on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 3:00-6:00pm, at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg. Her life will be celebrated on her 94th birthday with a funeral Mass on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 9:30 am at St. John XXIII Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Rose Cemetery.
