Janet Elaine Mckinney

Janet Elaine McKinney, age 77, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital. She was born on February 28, 1947, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Samuel and June (Henderson) McKinney. Janet was a graduate of Clearfield High School in Clearfield, Pennsylvania and the DuBois Business College. After her schooling she worked at Penelec.

Janet was known for being a generous person, who would give the shirt off her back to help others out. This showed in the numerous friends that she had and kept in touch with. She enjoyed reading and baking, but most of loved her family dearly; especially her grandson, Sammy and her great niece and nephew, Zoe and Ian.

Janet is survived by her son and daughter in law, Paul (Katie) Derry; grandson, Sammy Derry; nephew, Eric (Cara) Materkowski and great niece and nephew, Zoe and Ian Materkowski. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joan Materkowski and niece, Ann Materkowski.
