Janet Armbruster

Janet Rae (Barber) Armbruster, 93, was called home to her Lord on Thursday, March 4th, 2021 at the Kingston Residence in Perrysburg, Ohio. She was born January 24, 1928 to Chester and Ruth (Miller) Barber. In addition to her parents, Jan is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jo Sherman (Coltrain). Jan was a graduate of Bowling Green State University and devoted many years to teaching deaf and hard of hearing children throughout her life. She was a talented photographer and enjoyed sharing her view of the world through her imagery. Jan was an active member of Cedar Creek Church and was a mentor and leader in numerous groups within the church. She enjoyed meeting new people, building relationships, and sharing God’s love through fellowship. Jan loved spending time with her family and friends, knitting, and camping on Manitoulin Island. Jan is survived by her husband of 69 years, James Arthur “Jim” and their three children: son Brad (Debbie), son Mike (Kim), and daughter Jamie. “Gramma Jan” also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be scheduled in the near future.
