Jane Ellen Snodgrass

May 2, 1948 — November 17, 2025

Toledo

Jane Ellen Snodgrass, 77, passed away suddenly on November 17, 2025. Born on May 2, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio, Jane was the cherished daughter of Tom and Mary Glick. She grew up in Toledo, graduating from Notre Dame Academy before earning an associate degree in business with a concentration in secretarial work from Siena Heights.

Jane began her career with Nazar Rubber Company and later brought her big heart and boundless energy to the Maumee Children’s Center, where her natural caregiving spirit made a difference every single day. On August 22, 1970, she married the love of her life, Duane Snodgrass, at Christ the King Catholic Church. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and genuine devotion to one another.

At her core, Jane was a dedicated wife and mother who lived with deep purpose and passion. She poured everything she had into raising her two boys—celebrating every milestone, cheering at every game with unmistakable enthusiasm, and becoming a steady source of encouragement, strength, and joy. Her heart overflowed when she and Duane moved with the boys into their dream home in Sylvania, a place where decades of laughter and memories took root.

Jane was a lifelong caregiver, offering her love first to her sons, then caring tenderly for her parents, and later embracing the joy of being a grandma. She had a gift for making every person feel special. She made friends everywhere she went—even in the grocery store checkout line—and was part of the neighborhood welcome wagon, greeting new faces with warmth, excitement, and a smile that could light up any room.

Her life was filled with the simple joys she loved most: bunco nights, card club, bowling league, funeral choir, and bible study. She was known for her infectious laugh, her excitement over the smallest things, and her pure delight in the Christmas season. She adored playing games—especially bunco—with her grandchildren, creating traditions they will treasure forever. Her hugs were legendary, and her phone calls were famously long because she genuinely never wanted a conversation to end. And more often than not, she’d say, “Did I tell you…?” before launching into one more story she couldn’t wait to share.

She also had a sweet tooth for her favorite treats: snowball cookies, chocolate candy, and a good slice of pizza.

Jane’s spirit will live on in every warm smile, every act of kindness, and every cherished memory she helped create. Her joy, her energy, and her ability to love so wholeheartedly will remain woven into the heart of her family forever.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Duane; brothers, Ron and Tom Glick; her sons, Brian (Kathleen) and Alan (Amy) Snodgrass; grandchildren Kate, Ben, Reed, and Carter Snodgrass; her beloved grand dogs, Lottie and Wrigley; and a large extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother- and father-in-law; and her sisters-in-law, JoAnn Glick and Marlene Glick.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 3–7 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, with recitation of the rosary at 6:30 pm. A Funeral Mass celebrating Jane’s life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania.
