Jane M. Cable

Jane M. Cable, 88, of Maumee, OH passed away Friday, September 12, 2008 in the Hospice of Toledo Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 9, 1920 in Toledo to William and Gladys Tate Wolever. Jane was a Secretary at Jones Junior High School for 25 years, retiring in 1982. In post retirement Jane worked for her son, Thomas A. Cable, O.D. as a receptionist for 10 years, in his Morenci, MI office. Jane, a loving and caring person was a proud supporter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Cancer Society and Diabetes Association. Jane is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, John Cable, who she married March 20, 1944; sons, Thomas Becky Cable and Gary Marcella Cable; grandsons, Brian and Marco Cable; sisters, Mary Vogel, Helen Abbenzeller, Jackie Ralph Hower; and brother, Bill Wolever. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Lorene Mehling. Family and friends may visit Sunday from 3-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where a Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Maumee. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee. The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and doctors at Hospice of Toledo for their exceptional care of Jane.
