Jana R. Pawlinski, 59, of Swanton, Ohio died January 24, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 24, 1962.
Jana was an inspiration to many; she was a motivational speaker who spoke from the heart and had a passion for helping people. She got her message out into the world by speaking from personal experience on the effects of drunk driving. Jana was a writer and self-published her book, Dead Asleep. She was a fan and was greatly influenced by Stephen King. She was always there with a quick and clever retort. Jana had an undeniable fierceness and a way of making you remember her. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening.
Jana is survived by her daughters, Falon (Andy) Stolar and Chelsea Rieger; brother, Jamie (Janet Marie Hendricks) Pawlinski; and sister, Dawn Pawlinski-Brown. She was preceded in death by her father, James Pawlinski and mother, Bernice Cecil (Ducat) Pawlinski.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sujkowski Walker Funeral Home, Rossford. A celebration of life will be later in the spring. Memorial donations in Jana’s name may be made to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). Online condolences may be left at walkerfuneralhomes.com
