Jamey T. Metroff, 29, of Millbury, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 19, 2017. He was born August 14, 1987, in Oregon, Ohio, to Mary K. (McCormick) and James T. Metroff, Jr. Jamey was a 2005 graduate of Genoa Area High School and Penta County Vocational School, excelling in diesel and small engine mechanics. He had been working for Ackermans as a fork lift mechanic. Jamey was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed working with his hands, loved challenges and enjoyed things that go fast. He also loved being outside. Jamey was a Boy Scout of Troop #310 and earned the Eagle Scout award sponsored by the American Legion Post #324 of Genoa. In addition to his parents, Jamey is survived by his children, Madelynn R. Metroff and Tyler E. Metroff, sister, Kelly S. (Joel) Schwan of Genoa, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wanda and James Metroff, Sr. and Edward and Thelma McCormick. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, where the funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 23, 2017. Burial will take place in Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury. Memorials for Jamey may be given to the donors choice.
