James Edward Zink

James Edward Jim Zink, 81 of Toledo passed away on March 20, 2015 at University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born on December 22, 1933 in Toledo, Ohio to Margaret (Zink) Mauthe. Jim graduated in 1951 from Woodward High School and later attend the University of Toledo. He was a supervisor for 30 plus years at General Mills, an avid bowler and loved to travel with his family; especially to Myrtle Beach. Jim coached little league football for Washington Local and also coached football and baseball for the Westwood Elementary Rams. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 60 plus years, Carolyn; son, Bob (Karis) Zink; daughters, Kim (Robert Webber) Ruetz and Vicki (Buddy) Haggard; grandchildren, RaeAnn (Angela) Ruetz, Jenna (Jared) ONeal, Quinton Haggard, Candi Blaesing and Chad (Shannon) Blaesing; 5 great grandchildren and son-in-law, Fritz Wilguess. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Cheryl Wilguess. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Toledo Memorial Park.
