James Charles Woodward Jr.

James Charles Woodward, Jr., 88, of Maumee, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at The Lakes of Monclova. He was born July 30, 1937, in Sylvania, Ohio, to James Sr. and Bernice (Moebius) Woodward.

Jim married Dorothy Dunn on July 31, 1959. They shared 55 years of marriage before her passing on October 27, 2014. He worked as a civil engineer for the Lucas County Engineer's Office. Jim and Dorothy enjoyed sailing together, and he proudly served as a past commodore of the Perrysburg Boat Club.

Jim is survived by his children, Lisa (David) Remaklus, Michael Woodward, Susan Sholl, and Daniel (Samantha) Woodward; grandchildren, Emily, Benjamin, and Mairin Remaklus, Zachary and Austin Sholl, and Luke Woodward; two great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Booth; and brother, Dale Woodward.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A private interment with military honors will be held.
