James R. Mr. Woodgate

James R. Woodgate, formerly of Toledo, died on Friday, April 26, 2019 in Schaumburg, IL. He was born and raised in Toledo, graduating from Devilbiss High School and the University of Toledo before transferring to the Chicago area in 1954.  He retired in 1989 after a long career with Keebler Co. in Elmhurst, IL. James is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Matt) Briski; grandsons, Jason, Ryan, Justin, Troy, Scott and Kyle Briski; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Theodore Briski; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.  He was preceded in death by wife, Marilyn (Hamann); second wife, Virginia (Hopp); sister, Marilyn Ries; parents, Arthur and Constance Woodgate; and stepson, Tom Hopp. Visitation is Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Hope Lutheran Church, 2201 Secor Rd. Toledo, OH 43606.  Interment will be at Toledo Memorial Park.  There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Willow Lake Estates, 161 West River Road, Elgin, IL 60123.
