James Patrick Wilson, age 72, lifelong resident of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 in the University of Toledo Medical Center. Jim was a 1957 graduate of Perrysburg High School. He was employed by L.O.F. in Rossford, Ohio for 31 years, 17 of which were in the Mold Shop, retiring November 1, 1995. Jim was also active and a member of St. Rose Parish, Maumee Elks and Rossford Eagles. Jim was preceded in death by his wives, Joyce Wilson and Roslyn Wilson; and is survived by his sons, David Kelly Wilson and Gary Wilson; step-son, Michael Young; step-daughter, Shelly Ed Young; grandchildren, Tanner and Jamie Wilson; step-grandchildren, Adison and Macie Czerniak and Sierra, Joshua and Nicholas Young; sisters, Mary Hunyor and Dorothy Frankforther. Jim was long time fan and booster of Perrysburg athletics. Himself, a 1956 all conference member of the Yellow Jacket football team. In the early 1970s Jim was a founding assistant coach of the Perrysburg Big Red football, today known as the Big Gold football program. Later in life he proudly enjoyed watching the athletic accomplishments of his grandchildren Tanner and Jamie Wilson. Family and friends may visit Monday, August 1, 2011 from 2-8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio. Funeral services will begin Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 11:30 am in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm at St. Rose Catholic Church, Perrysburg.
