James H. Wilkinson, age 83, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at UTMC. He was born on October 1, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio to Mark and Wilma Wegner Wilkinson. James served in the US Army from 1951 until 1953 and was stationed in Japan for 18 months. He worked for Toledo Edison for 35 years and received his Bachelors from the University of Toledo in 1987. A 51 year member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maumee; his volunteer duties ranged from ushering to delivering communion to shut-ins. James also was in Boys Scouts and Sea Scouts when he was young. He was also a long time member of the Model Railroad Club. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Nancy nee Bolton; children, Mark Rosita Wilkinson of Singapore; Paul Wilkinson of Toledo, OH; Sarah James McDonagh of Fairfield, OH; grandchildren, Sharul Mohdsharif serving aboard the U.S.S. George Washington, Japan; Daniel Wilkinson of Missisauga, Ontario; Stephanie Nathan McDonagh-Lindberg of Sheffield, PA; Ashley Brenton McDonagh-Daily of Ambridge, PA; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Madysen Lindberg; sister, Jerry Lee; and many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 112 E. Wayne Street, Maumee, OH 43537 on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
