James M. Jim Velliquette

James Jim M. Velliquette, 82, of Oak Harbor passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at H.B. Magruder Hospital, Port Clinton. He was born on July 9, 1934 in Oak Harbor to James C. and Henrietta I. (Floriana) Velliquette. Jim was retired from Northern Manufacturing in Oak Harbor. He also previously helped with maintenance at the former National Bank of Oak Harbor. Jim was a member of the Alliance Chapel, Oak Harbor and a volunteer fireman for the Portage Fire District. Jim enjoyed woodworking as well. Jim is survived by his son, Ronald Velliquette, siblings, Raymond (Gerry) Velliquette, Judith Velliquette, and Sandra Seaman, nieces nephews, and great nieces nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gerald Velliquette. Funeral services for Jim will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor with visitation two hours prior to the services from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions in memory of Jim may be given to help with the funeral expenses.
