James Richard Tucker

James “Jim” Tucker, 86, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

He was born June 28 ^th 1935, in Toledo, OH to James and Evelyn (Hartzell) Tucker.

He leaves his wife of 65 years, Patricia (Betts) Tucker; his children Pamela (Tim) Gillespie, Shelly, James, and Tony Tucker. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren Brooke (Josh), Lauren (Dave), Jordan, Parker, and 4 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his brothers Tom and Bob, and his granddaughter Ashley.

After graduating from Libby High School, Jim became a long shoreman at the docks in Oregon, OH.  After retiring from the docks, he ran several bars with his father and brother, including Mother Tucker’s Bar in Toledo, OH.

Jim enjoyed carpentry, working out, crime novels, but most of all spending time with his friends and family.  He adored his wife and reminded her every day how special she was to him.

The family expresses much gratitude to Southern Care Hospice and St. Clare Commons in Perrysburg, OH for the care of their father. The family will gather at a later time to celebrate his life.
