James C. Thomason, 87, died on August 21, 2012 at Arbors of Sylvania. He was born on June 21, 1925 in Dillon, Montana to Gladys Imogene Crane and Henry C. Burfiend and was adopted by Burt Thomason. Mr. Thomason graduated from Scott High School in 1943 and married Katherine A. Maludy on November 20 that same year. He worked in the retail clothing business in Toledo for C.J. Ertle Clothing, B.R. Baker, Co., and Damschroeders Clothing. He later worked for the Lucas County Auditors office, retiring in 1997. Mr. Thomason was a dedicated family man and devoted husband for 69 years. There was nothing he loved more than his wife, children, and grandchildren. Along with his wife, Jim is survived by his son, James B. Thomason Rosemary of Lima, OH; daughter, Marsha Aldrich Bob of Ladysmith, VA; grandsons, Eric Thomason, Matthew Thomason, Brian Thomason, and Philip Thomason; granddaughter, Jackie Westfall; great-granddaughter, Anya Rose Thomason; special nephew, Jeff Maludy; and special family friend, Sue Newmyer. There will be no visitation and a private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Arbors at Sylvania, 7120 Port Sylvania Dr. Toledo, OH 43617.
