James Jim C. Taylor, 94, of Curtice, died Monday afternoon, July 10, 2017, at Mercy-St. Charles Hospital in Oregon. Jim was born November 30, 1922, in Curtice, Ohio, to Charles and Katherine (Mock) Taylor. He married Alberna R. Duty in Oregon, Ohio, on December 3, 1947, and she survives him. Jim worked as a machine repairman for Maumee Mallable Castings in Toledo for 21 years and for 15 years worked at Acklin Stamping in Toledo. For 50 + years he was a member of the Genoa Masonic Lodge and the O.E.S. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Associates for over 30 years. In his younger years, Jim farmed and especially loved to fish. He was a handyman and enjoyed fixing things. Jim is survived by his wife and grandson, Brandon (Lisa) Macklenar of Northlake, Texas. His parents and daughter, Sharon Tobasko, preceded him in death. Visitation for Jim will be 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2017, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa; a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2017, in the funeral home with burial to follow in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston.
