James Albert Stang

Stang James A. James A. Stang, 89 of Sylvania, passed away on December 31, 2008 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Jim was born September 5, 1919 in Toledo, Ohio to Edward and Hazel Stang. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Thomas. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, left to cherish his memory and marriage of 66 years; 3 sons; John Teresa, Jim Mary and JefferySusan; 5 grandchildren: Cindy Kraus, Angie Ovens, Jennifer Yackey, Christopher and Michael Stang; 5 great-grandchildren and 2 nieces. Jim was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, attended Toledo University and Stautzenberger Business College. He was a 45 year member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania, was a life member of the Toledo Elks No. 53 and a member of various antique car clubs. Jim was in the industrial supply business and the last 12 years with George Whalley Co. of Cleveland. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. A private burial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania, OH. A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date. Walker Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
