James Gilbert Schramm

Schramm James Gilbert James Schramm, age 82, of Perrysburg, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born on March 27, 1927 in Toledo to George and Ethel Garber Schramm. Jim served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the U.S.S. Noble in the Southeast Pacific. He was a 31 year member of Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 6/33. Jim began work as a journeyman, in 1964 until 1970 he worked as a business agent, and from 1970 until 1976 he worked as a Business Manager/Financial Secretary. He retired from the trade in 1986. Jim was an avid sports enthusiast. He played for the City Federation football for Southside Ramblers, YMCA League basketball and softball. Jim enjoyed golf, fishing, gardening, puzzle solving, and winter vacations in the south. Jim is survived by his wife, Jane; daughters, Dr. Kathryn SchrammTim Lehman of Sylvania, OH and Annmarie Schramm of Austin, TX; son-in-law, Carl E. Kulman, Jr. of Holland, OH; grandson, Eric Kuhlman; granddaughter, Nicole Lehman; brother, George R. Schramm; and sister, Betty Helle. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Kuhlman; parents and sister. Arrangements by Walker Funeral Home.
