James Piotrowicz

James “Jim” Piotrowicz, 82, beloved husband, father and dzia, passed away at home on his favorite holiday, “Thanksgiving” with his wife by his side. He had been under hospice care and had endured several health issues.

Jim attended St. Stanislaus Grade School and Libbey High School. He retired from Chrysler Jeep in 1997, after 34.5 years.

He married Jeanne in 1981 and together they raised their children.

His favorite pastimes included fishing with friends and family on Lake Erie where he kept his boat at Fenwick Marina. His weekends were saved for his darlin. Other favorite pastimes were golfing in his league at Spuyten and Duyval and traveling to different courses, being caught on the 19th hole. He was a social member of many clubs and loved having family cookouts and pool parties.

The family would like to thank Hospice of NW Ohio, especially his nurse Corey Holmes, for her uplifting personality and great care over many months.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne of 43 years; daughters, Kim (Tim) Swiergosz, Debra (Ric) Caputo, Kelly (Bob) Molnar, Leslie (Tony) Mack and son William (Heather) Arnett; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Delphine and his first wife, Kathleen in 1979.

A memorial service will be held at St. Clement Catholic Church on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 11 am, with a visitation an hour prior.
