James Patrick "Pat" Falvey II, born April 1, 1968, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, August 17, 2026.
Pat was the beloved son of Carol MacRitchie and William Falvey. Loyal, faithful, genuine, and deeply loved, Pat had a smile that could brighten any room. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his authenticity, and the simple joy he found in the people and places he loved.
An avid sports fan, Pat loved Ohio State football, the Pittsburgh Steelers & Pittsburgh Pirates and fantasy football-preferably with a good filet, a chocolate milkshake, and his people close by. He especially loved the camaraderie of his friends and community at Fricker's in Sylvania, where he became a familiar and much-loved face.
Pat earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Toledo. At Churchill's Supermarket and later at The Andersons, he became a constant, familiar, ever-smiling face, building friendships and community with the people who became part of his everyday world.
Most importantly, Pat accepted God as his Lord and Savior. His sister takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace and in the presence of his Savior, and his faith gives those who loved him hope that this goodbye is not forever.
Pat is survived by his loving sister, Robin Falvey (Paul Banner); Robin's former husband and longtime family member, Jon Ayers; nieces, Avery and Abby; nephew, Jonathan; stepfather, Donald MacRitchie; stepbrother, Chris MacRitchie (Jen) and family, and Matt MacRitchie; aunt, Martha Moloney; cousins, Ellen, Kathleen, Maureen, and Trisha; and a host of dear friends, especially his Fricker's family in Sylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carol MacRitchie and William Falvey; cousins, Mary Francis, Chris, and Anne Falvey; uncle, Jim; and aunt and uncle, Alice and Tom Falvey.
In lieu of flowers, Pat would love nothing more than for you to join your fantasy football league, cheer on your favorite team, enjoy a good meal and milkshake with friends, or make a donation to the American Diabetes Association in loving memory of his mom, Carol.
Visitation will be held at The Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., on Friday, August 28, from 3:00-6:00 p.m., with a service beginning at 6:00 p.m. In true Pat fashion, guests are invited to skip the black and wear red-or their favorite spirit wear-as we celebrate him at peace and free with his Savior.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
- John 3:16
How firm thy friendship, Pat. Go Bucks! Go Steelers!
