James E. Page II, 66, passed away on March 3, 2026, at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania Ohio surrounded by his family. Jim was born on June 7, 1959, to James and Betty Page. He was raised in Canton, Ohio with his siblings. In his late teens, he proudly served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper.
First and foremost, Jim was a man deeply rooted in his faith. Each day began in his prayer room, spending quiet, devoted time with God and faithfully praying for those he loved. His relationship with the Lord was the foundation of his life, guiding his words, his actions, and the way he served others. He possessed a servant's heart, always placing the needs of others above his own. His love was not simply spoken - it was demonstrated daily through sacrifice, presence, and steadfast commitment. Jim had enough love for everyone, and that love was evident in the way he lived.
Jim graduated from Stark State College with a Civil Engineering Technology degree. He went back to further his education at University of Toledo receiving a degree in Construction Engineering in 2011. In his early career, he traveled within the United States completing Bridge Safety Inspections. He loved climbing bridges. For over 2 decades he worked for URS/AECOM working as Materials Engineer for Ohio Turnpike Lane widening projects, and site manager overseeing construction services for rebuilding middle school facilities. After the mandatory waiting time for a construction degree, Jim passed his PE exam in Civil Engineering. At the time of his passing, he was the Project Manager on the Collins Water Park Project. He approached his work with integrity and excellence and was known for his steady leadership, strong work ethic earning the respect of others.
Jim enjoyed being outdoors in the beauty of God's creation. He enjoyed fishing mainly. Jim was a trained drummer who had a young dream of being a "rockstar". God had other plans.
Jim lived a life marked by faith, devotion, integrity, and unwavering love for his family.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Marypat, who was his soulmate, his "home", and best friend. Their love was deep, faithful, and enduring - a partnership built on devotion, commitment, laughter, prayer, and unwavering support.
He is survived by his children Jimmy, Crystal, Jaime (Nick) Koepke, Brandon (April), TJ (Jessica) Smith, Brittany (Jesse) Schultz, and Blake and Hayley Oliver. He was deeply invested in each of their lives, offering wisdom, encouragement, strength, prayer and unconditional love.
He is survived by his grandchildren: Jasmine, Vesper, Trey, Aubree, Averee, Tony, Alyx, Austin, Conner, Draedyn, Faeron, Lexi, Nolan, Delaney, Trevor, Oaklee, and River. They brought immeasurable joy to his life, and he prayed over them faithfully, loved them fiercely, and celebrated each of them with pride.
He is survived by his siblings; Rene' (Bill) Eneix, Robert (Anna) Page, and Jamie Page; and his brother-in-law John D. Lechman, and father-in-law, John F. Lechman. He is survived by his church Roadcrew brothers in Christ.
He valued his family bonds deeply and carried those relationships with loyalty and pride.
Jim leaves behind a legacy of faith, family devotion, and servant leadership that will continue to influence generations. Though he is deeply missed, the seeds he planted through prayer, love, and example will continue to grow in the hearts of all who knew him.
