James Perry Myers II

Dec 11, 1957 — Jun 24, 2026

James P. Myers II, age 68, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 24, 2026. Born on December 11, 1957, James was the son of James P. Myers I and Barbara (Jenne) Overholt.

He was known throughout his life for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and unwavering dedication to his family, friends, community, and country. James spent his career as a commercial truck driver, retiring after many years on the road. He took great pride in his work and was respected for his reliability, determination, and sense of humor. He believed in earning an honest living and giving his best to every job.

Quiet by nature, James chose his words carefully. When he spoke, people listened, knowing his thoughts were sincere and grounded in conviction. James found joy in life's simple pleasures. He cherished learning about his family history and the stories that connected generations. He loved bowling, golfing, attending car shows, Ohio State Football, and riding his Harley-often in one of his signature orange T-shirts-and he never passed up a meal at Golden Corral.

Though his passing was sudden, the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be remembered as an honest, dependable, humble, and deeply devoted person to those he loved.

James was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Don Overholt, and his brother, Kevin Myers. He is survived by his son, James T. Myers III; his grandchildren, Rayna, Gage, and McKayla Myers; his siblings, Scott Myers, Robin (Joe) Axe, and Todd (Martin) Myers; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
