Jim Music, the consummate gentleman, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016. Born on July 6, 1949 in Walbridge, Ohio to Virginia and Edward Music, he was the oldest of seven children. He was employed at Daimler Chrysler for over 30 years as a Transportation Supervisor. Jim possessed many wonderful qualities but he will be most remembered for his kindness, his generosity and his love of family. Prior to his illness, he was an avid gardener and voracious reader. Jim was an insightful and well informed conversationalist who possessed vast knowledge on a spectrum of diverse subjects. Jim enjoyed a great meal, a sweet dessert and an unexpected guest or two at his dinner table. He was a proud father to his two daughters Heather and Jennifer; a grandfather to Marcus, Deven and Jase and great-grandfather to Mya. He was also a grandfather and friend to his extended family. For the past six years Jim shared his love and life with Peg Hayden, with whom he built their dream cottage. He is also survived by brothers, Ron and Deno and sisters, Deb and Robin. Preceding him in death were his mother and father and sisters Betty and Linda. A funeral Mass will be held at The Historic Church of St. Patrick, 130 Avondale Ave., Saturday November 26 at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements by Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee.
