James H. Miller

James H. Miller age 85 of Sylvania, passed away Friday, April 18 2014 in Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania. He was born November 30, 1928 in Toledo to George and Sylvia Bettinger Miller. A graduate of Central Catholic High School he was a navy veteran of World War II. Jim was employed with Dana Corporation for 33 years retiring as International Director in 1984. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Preceded in death by his parents and sister Thelma Beans, he is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Longmore; daughters Susan Beers, Ann Patrick Burkhart and Ginny Tom Sussman; grandchildren Matthew Brittany Sussman, Julie Burkhart Eric Sitiko, Sarah Burkhart and Laura Burkhart Kristen Varon; and 1 great grandchild on the way. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. on Thursday April 24 from 4-7 PM. A memorial mass will be held Friday, April 25 at 10 AM in St. Josephs Church, Sylvania.
