James L. Michelson

James L. Michelson, 60, of Holland, OH, left this earth on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at the Anne Grady Center under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Jim joined his Heavenly Father who opened his arms to him and we know gave him peace, love and eternal life, which he so richly deserved. He was born on December 30, 1952, to Kenneth and Betty Zattau Michelson. He is survived by his mother, Betty; brother, Kenneth Carol Michelson; aunts Joyce William Kretz, Cherie Zattau; nieces, Melanie Mark Neumann, Erin Michelson and her fiance, Eric Kozina, other nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth, infant sister, Elizabeth, grandparents, Eva Zattauand Christian and Partha Michaelson; aunts, Velda Wilkinson, Lucille French, Lucille Zattau and Clara Mae Zattau; uncles, Charles, Robert, Donald, Richard, Frederick, Jack Zattau and Walter Wilkinson. Although Jims life was a challenge due to his disabilities we truly believe that he enjoyed life in his own way and was a joy to all that knew him, loved him and cared for him. The family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone at the Anne Grady Center, especially to all the care givers that worked over all the years on the D-2 Home where Jim has lived for over 30 years. What a blessing you were for Jim and his mother, being there to care for him. May God bless each and every one of you. Friends may visit from 2-6 p.m. Wednesday, in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue, west of Corey, where funeral services will begin at 6 p.m. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be given to the Anne Grady Foundation, 1525 Eber Road, Holland, OH 43528 or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 East River Road.
