James R. Mccormick

James R. Jim McCormick age 77 of Holland, OH passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 25, 2012 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Jim was born in Toledo, OH on June 25, 1935 to Tildamon A. and Miriam Moore McCormick. Jim was a graduate of Whitmer High School and was employed as a millwright for the former Doehler Jarvis for many years until his retirement. Jim was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed Oak Shade Raceway, working in his yard with his many tractors and taking joy rides in the country. He especially loved spending time with his family. Nobody was a stranger to Jim, he was a friend to all. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Carol Jean McCormick; son, Dean McCormick; daughters, Tamara McCormick and Kelli McCormick Miller. Grandchildren, John F. Kandi Sims Miller IV, Jessica C. Daryl Adkins McCormick and Krista A. Mark DuBois Miller; great-granddaughter, Allison Mae Miller who Jim affectionately called Little Bit. Also surviving are brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee, on Sunday July 29, 2012 from 3-8 pm where funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Cherry Street Mission.
